Notification Settings
Learn how email, browser, and unread notifications work
QAries provides email notifications, browser notifications, and unread indicators in the favicon and tab title. These settings help agents avoid missing new inquiries, replies, and assignments
Notification Setup Flow
1
Configure Email Notifications
Open your profile and review email notification settings
- You can toggle new inquiry, user reply, status change, assignment, and discussion notifications
- Default values are filled in when older data does not include a setting
- Turning off unnecessary notifications helps keep important notifications visible
2
Allow Browser Notifications
Allow browser notifications in the management screen
- Browser notifications are available only while the page is open
- If permission was denied, enable it again from browser settings
- QAries uses polling in the management screen and does not use Web Push
3
Check Unread Indicators
Use the favicon and tab title to check unread notifications
- When unread notifications exist, the tab title shows the count
- The favicon shows an unread badge
- Counts above 99 are displayed as 99+
4
Mark Notifications as Read
Mark notifications as read from the inquiry detail or notification list
- Opening an inquiry detail marks related notifications as read
- The notification list can mark all notifications as read
- Unread badges update after notifications become read
Before You Start
- You must be logged in as an agent
- The agent email address must be valid to receive email notifications
- Browser notifications require notification permission in the browser
Notification Tips
- Assignment notifications help prevent missed ticket ownership
- Discussion notifications are email-only and do not appear in in-app or favicon notifications
- If email does not arrive, check spam folders, notification settings, and sender-domain restrictions
What to Do Next
After configuring notifications, send a test inquiry or discussion post to confirm that notifications arrive
